The Allen-Bradley 1769-ECR is a Right End Cap (ECR) module that is used with the CompactLogix controller series. This module functions as a bus terminator, terminating the FlexBus circuitry, signaling the end of the CompactLogix assembly. This module is necessary to qualify the CompactLogix configuration. The 1769-ECR features a current draw of 5 mA at 5.1 VDC. It has an operating altitude of 2000 m or 6562 ft and approximately weighs 130 grams or 0.286 lb. To install the 1769-ECR, the bus lever must be lifted from its engaged position. Once done, align the ECR module along with the guide slots and gently push the ECR module until it is adjacent and in line with the CompactLogix module. Engaged the bus lever to connect the ECR module and close the FlexBus. If resistance is felt during the engagement of the bus lever, inspect if the ER is properly aligned to the module and the guide slot.
