The 1788-EN2PAR linking device from Allen-Bradley is an Ethernet to ProfiBus PA (Process Automation) linking device. It provides an integrated and fast solution for adding ProfiBus PA devices to Logix platforms. The 1788-EN2PAR linking device should be powered by a SELV (Safety Extra Low Voltage) or PELV (Protected Extra Low Voltage) power supply in order to comply with the CE LVD (Low Voltage Directive). The power requirements of the 1788-EN2PAR linking device are an input voltage between 24 and 32 Volts DC and 0.75 Amps of current. When no field devices are attached to it, the linking device draws 260 milliwatts of power at 24 Volts DC. The total device power dissipation at 24 Volts DC is 12.24 Watts.
