ABB’s low-voltage digital switchgear is based on its proven MNS, and NeoGear switchgear platform.
To provide maximum benefits of digital switchgear and simplify communication structures within the switchgear design a device functioning as data concentrator or as gateway is available.
The data concentrator and process communication gateway hardware and software platform is shared across all digital switchgear and available in following product variants:
MNS, NeoGear – Digital Gateway
MNS iS – MLink
For the communication upstream to process or electrical control systems the data concentrator offers gateway functions via Modbus *TCP, RTU) and Profibus DP. For downstream communication to switchgear devices, it is supporting Modbus RTU and Modbus TCP.
Main functions:
– Single communication interface to process control system for up to 128 motor starter and other electrical devices
– Integrated Web server interface to provide single user interface for monitoring and control at switchgear level (MView touch panel or mobile device)
– Engineering tool MNavigate interface for remote parametering and parameter download via network; parameter storage of UMC100.3 and M10x motor controller in gateway (backup)
