Allen-Bradley 2711P-RP1是PanelView Plus组件。该组件是一个逻辑模块，可承载各种接口，并包含PanelView Plus操作员终端的必要存储区和处理器。
2711P-RP1安装在显示模块的背面。该显示模块配有一个64 MB随机存取存储器(RAM ),用于操作员终端运行时界面，以及64 MB闪存，用于存储文件，如应用程序备份、手册、日志、配方、报告和其他系统文件。

The Allen-Bradley 2711P-RP1 is a PanelView Plus component. This component is specifically a logic module that hosts a variety of interfaces and contains the necessary memory areas and processor of the PanelView Plus operator terminal.
The 2711P-RP1 is attached at the back of the display module. This display module comes with an internal memory amounting to 64 MB Random Access Memory (RAM), used for the operator terminals runtime interface, and 64 MB Flash, used for storing files such as application backup, manuals, logs, recipes, reports and other system files.
The 2711P-RP1 Logic modules connects to the display module circuitry through the PCI slot. When installing this module, proper grounding must be observed as the components within are highly sensitive to static electricity.
The 2711P-RP1 is compatible for use with PanelView Plus 700, 1000, 1250, and 1500 operator terminals. This unit is a replacement hardware as any PanelView Plus 700-1500 comes with a pre-installed logic module. Similarly, a fully-functional PanelView Plus operator terminal requires a logic module.
The 2711P-RP1 module is powered by an external 24VDC power supply. It comes with standard communication interface such as an Ethernet port, 9-Pin mini DIN RS232 port and USB ports. The ethernet port is used for connecting the PanelView terminal to one or more controllers over Ethernet I/P protocol while RS232 interface is used for peer-to-peer connection. Ethernet can cover longer distances with a maximum of 100 meters which can be easily extended. The RS232 connection is ideally used for short distances typically, within the panel communication. This logic module also comes with Two (2) USB ports for connecting peripheral devices such as keyboard and mouse.
It is bolted with 6 screws to the display module and it can carry a communication module which is attached to it after removing the grey label on the back side of the logic module. Always make sure that the display module is not power supplied when connecting the logic module to it. The WordPad text editor, Media Player, and remote desktop connection are some of the extended optional features available with this module.
