The GE Fanuc IC694MDL758 Discrete Output Module is a positive logic discrete output module for the RX3i PacSystems PLC system. This module provides an output signal interface between external output devices and the RX3i controllers. The IC694MDL758 Output Module provides 32 discrete outputs in 2 isolated groups of 16 outputs each. Each group common has an integral “fault recovering” protection against short-circuits that works by generating and relaying ESCP fault reports within a group to the RX3i CPU. The IC694MDL758 Output Module also sends fault reports to the CPU when there is a loss of field-side power within a group. The IC694MDL758 Output Module can provide either positive logic or source type outputs, which are capable of switching user load loads over a 12 to 24 Volts DC range and it can also source currents of up to 0.5 Amps per point.
The IC694MDL758 Output Module has a voltage rating of 12/24 Volts DC (positive logic) and an output voltage range of 10.2 to 28.8 Volts DC. It also has an output current rating of 0.5 Amps per point and an aggregate group current rating of 8.0 Amps. The IC694MDL758 Output Module has a backplane rating of 250 milliamps at 5.0 Volts DC and a 5.4 Amps inrush current rating for 10 milliseconds (without an ESCP trip). The IC694MDL758 Output Module supports the box-style terminal blocks like the IC694TBB032 or the spring-style terminal blocks like the IC694TBS032, and it comes with 32 green LEDs that show individual output channel status updates, 2 LEDs that shows fault status updates, and a green LED that shows the module’s status. The IC694MDL758 Output Module is compatible only with the RX3i CPUs (not the Series 90-30 CPUs), and it can be installed in the I/O slots in the RX3i PLC system.
