Flexible configuration widely used
The REF615 can be used as primary protection for overhead lines and feeders in the distribution network, as well as backup protection for equipment such as transformers. Mainly used in power substations, power plants and other power industry and cement, metallurgy, petrochemical, automobile, semiconductor, paper, tobacco and other industrial users, can also be used in municipal, airport, port, real estate and other industries.
To meet user needs, the REF615 is available in seven standard configurations. The protection logic and related functions are optimized for the Chinese market.
Protection control features integrated arc protection
The REF615 provides directional or no-directional overcurrent and ground fault protection, as well as over voltage, low voltage, zero sequence voltage, thermal overload, sensitive ground protection, and quick-break ground protection (including intermittent ground protection). In addition, the device also integrates the multi-turn reclosing function with flexible configuration, which can realize the pre-reclosing acceleration, post-reclosing acceleration and hand acceleration. The REF615 comes with optional accessories and directly integrates three arc protection channels. Users do not need to purchase and install arc protection devices to realize the arc detection and rapid protection of switchgear circuit breakers, cables and bus rooms.
The REF615 supports local and remote control. The user can operate the circuit breaker through the control button on the panel of the device or the background monitoring system (SCADA). In order to prevent unauthorized users from misoperating and ensure that users operate according to the appropriate permissions, the device defines four levels of operation permissions: viewer, operator, engineer and administrator. Different levels of users use different accounts and passwords to log in. These permissions are set for a variety of access methods, including device panel operations, web access, and using the PCM600 device Configuration tool.
Design based on IEC 61850 supports horizontal communication
The REF615 supports the IEC 61850 protocol for true communication between intelligent devices in the station, as well as the industry standard Modbus communication protocol, and IEC 60870-5-103.
The REF615 is designed according to IEC 61850 specifications, including GOOSE horizontal communication with the back office monitoring system and protection devices, and complies with IEC 61850-8-1 specifications. Due to the new platform development based on IEC 61850, the device implements IEC 61850 communication without any additional communication protocol converter, truly achieving the communication efficiency and functionality required by IEC 61850. The traditional relay attached communication module is often to achieve compatibility with the new protocol or upgrade the old system.
Based on IEC 61850, the control signals between all intelligent devices (IEDs) during the operation of the system are continuously transmitted through the communication bus in the form of GOOSE messages. Therefore, this interoperation scheme only needs to be implemented through the internal setup of the device, which is more economical and efficient than the traditional hardwiring between the screen cabinets.
