The YS1700 programmable indicating controller can be customized for a variety of applications by running user programs and improves reliability through Yokogawa Electric’s proprietary technology, user friendliness and scalability. Compared to the previous series, the standard model is smaller and lighter, requires less space for installation, and meets international safety standards including CE marking and FM non-flammable (optional) certification. To facilitate the replacement of earlier controllers, it is necessary to provide the same panel opening size and depth as earlier models at the same time.
Main feature
Excellent clarity with a full dot-matrix color LCD: the display is highly visible even in direct sunlight in the early morning and late afternoon. Users can freely access the desired action screen from the meter, trend, bar chart, alarm and event display. All parameters can be set through the front panel display.
Feature block Programming: In addition to text programming that is compatible with earlier models, the YS1700 also offers a new GUI-based programming method – feature block programming. Optional YSS1000 setup software for the YS1000 series is used to develop user programs. .
Large programming capacity: the program capacity of the text program is 1000 steps, and the function block program is 400 modules.
More powerful control and calculation: with IEEE754 format 4-byte floating point calculation, the actual value can be used for calculation. More than 100 calculation modules are available, including exponential and logarithmic functions, temperature compensation and pressure compensation.
Function Selection mode (no programming required) : In multi-function controller mode, you can select controls from frequently used functions (single loop, cascade, or selector controls) without programming. The function assignment of digital and analog inputs/outputs (DI, DO, AI, and AO) can be determined through parameter Settings.
Extended I/O: The basic model with extended I/O has 8 analog inputs, 4 analog outputs, 10 digital inputs, or 10 digital outputs (a total of 14 digital inputs and outputs).
Fail-safe: Because it has two cpus (one for control and one for display), display and manual operations can be performed even if one of the cpus fails. When a digital circuit containing 2 cpus fails, the controller output can be manually adjusted by a hard manual circuit independent of the digital circuit. (Hard manual circuits are not included when specified /NHM is optional.)
Non-volatile memory for memory backup: no need to use batteries or capacitors for memory backup, easy maintenance.
The wide operating voltage range of the AC/DC dual power supply ensures stability when the power supply voltage fluctuates: It can be supplied with an AC(100 V) or DC(24 V) power supply. In addition, the DC power supply can also receive non-polar power. (If 220 V AC power is used, it must be specified when ordering.)

Compatible with the YS100 series: can be set up and controlled in the same way. For the basic model, the terminal to terminal spacing is different, but the signal to terminal distribution is almost the same.
