The Allen-Bradley 1444-DYN04-01RA module is part of the Allen-Bradley’Dynamax family of intelligent I/O modules that are used to provide the integrated and distributed solutions needed to monitor critical machinery. The 1444-DYN04-01RA module can monitor and protect pumps, motors, gearboxes, fans, gas and steam turbines, high-speed compressors, and other reciprocating or rotating machines. In addition to this, the 1444-DYN04-01RA module can measure dynamic signals like strain or pressure, vibration, and position measures like rod position, differential expansion, or thrust. The 1444-DYN04-01RA module makes the measurements in real-time to protect the machinery from imminent failure. In addition to this, the measurements are further processed to calculate the acute fault indicating parameters that are needed to assess the current and predicted health of the machine. The 1444-DYN04-01RA module can be managed and configured via a Logix Controller and connected through an EtherNet/IP industrial network.

Just like the other parts of the Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation Integrated Architecture system, the rest of the system components like visualization products, controllers, and I/O products can be applied to fit the specific needs and applications of the 1444-DYN04-01RA module. The expansion modules for the 1444-DYN04-01RA module include a relay module, a tachometer signal conditioner, and an analog output module that can be configured and managed from the 1444-DYN04-01RA module, which is the main or host module. The 1444-DYN04-01RA module, which serves as the main module, also messages errors that are associated with any of the expansion modules listed above. The 1444-DYN04-01RA module can support the EtherNet/IP communication protocol and it comes with two RJ45 Ethernet ports. The ports can be used as either standard Ethernet connections, where the modules are connected one to another, or implemented via a DLR (Device Level Ring).
